Mara Hook is adept at providing insightful, experience-based feedback to executives who want to create an environment in which others can flourish. Mara brings to coaching 25 years’ experience as a non-profit philanthropy healthcare executive, most recently, Vice President of Philanthropy for Sutter Health Bay Area. She also serves as a volunteer, coaching executives for Braven, a national non-profit partnering with universities and employers to empower promising first-generation college students to successfully achieve strong careers.
Mara’s experience with diverse groups has prepared her to understand the whole person—values, motivations, peer relationships, and challenges. She empowers her clients to navigate complex cultural challenges, build high-performing teams, and vision strategy tied to demonstrable outcomes.
Mara received her MBA with a focus in non-profit management from the University of San Francisco and a bachelor’s degree in Rhetoric and Communications from the University of California, Davis. She is a Professional Certified Coach and member of the International Coaching Federation.
